Our History
In 1971, O.L. Parker established his grading business in Charlotte, North Carolina. Specializing in residential projects, he built the company through hard work, a strong work ethic, and by fostering personal relationships with his customers. His son, Rodney Parker, was there from the beginning, helping his father build the company. Starting with nothing more than a farm tractor, they worked together to build a successful business. In 1987, the company incorporated. Today, O.L. Parker & Son Grading Co. is a fully licensed General Contractor.
Leadership
While O.L. Parker has sadly passed away, his legacy lives on through his daughter, Donna Whitesides, who leads the company as President. Rodney Parker, O.L.'s son, serves as Vice President. The company is now a third-generation family-owned business with Daniel Whitesides (Donna's son) and Jason Parker (Rodney's son) both working for the company.
Our Team
Jason Parker has been with the company since 1999 and plays a crucial role in overseeing mat and bridge installations. Daniel Whitesides, who earned his Civil Engineering degree in 1997, worked for a large construction company after college before deciding to continue his grandfather's legacy. Today, Daniel is involved in site management, job quoting, and operations management. He has been instrumental in leading the company into the next generation.

Our corporate offices are located in Charlotte, NC. Our proximity to interstates 77, 85, and 40 allows us to serve our customers throughout North and South Carolina.
