MFH Environmental Corp (MFH) is a minority woman owned small business (WOSB) specializing in Environmental Remediation. MFH was founded in 1990 by its principals Rafael and Josie Nickolas, the Nickolas’ gathered the most prominent personnel in the environmental remediation industry and formed the company whose principal target market is the Government Family Housing Replacement/Privatization Initiative.
Through the military division of MFH, whose sole purpose is to assist an elite group of general contractors in the Military Family Housing Replacement/Privatization, MFH has abated and /or demolished over 3000 government housing in various military bases. Currently this division is under contract to abate and demolish over 900 more housing units.
MFH, as a turnkey environmental remediation, firm specializes in the abatement of asbestos, lead and other hazardous materials such as PCB’s and mercury containing items. MFH also performs mold remediation MFH has performed governmental, industrial and commercial project for over 20 years in the states of Texas, New Mexico, Colorado, Arizona, Louisiana, Nevada and California.
MFH has assisted numerous Owners and General Contractors with the development and implementation of design and construction of environmental plans (i.e. Demolition Plans, Abatement Plans, Environmental Protection Plans, Storm Water Pollution Prevention Plan, etc.) in accordance and in compliance with the Clean Air and Water Acts.
MFH Environmental has extensive experience with asbestos abatement and are well known for successfully completing complex jobs that require a full team of remediation professionals. We staff multiple crews and can remain on a job site for an extended period to complete large magnitude jobs which offers our clients stability during multi-phased and multi-year projects.
Lead based paint can dealt with in any number of ways, including dry-ice blasting, soda blasting, hand scraping, or high pressure water. However, there are a number of regulations that should be adhered to in order to assure compliance with state and local laws. Using a firm with experience, adequately trained technicians and the proper equipment is critical to ensure the safety of people around the project and reduce the potential for fines or lawsuits.
Mold Remediation is the process in which mold and mold spores are cleaned up and removed from an indoor environment. The goal of remediation is to remove or clean contaminated materials in a way that prevents the emission of fungi and dust contaminated with fungi.
Based on recent U.S. EPA findings, many buildings, including schools, built and/or renovated in the 1950s through the 1970s have caulk that contains PCBs. The caulk was used to seal gaps to make windows, door frames, masonry and joints in buildings and other structures watertight or airtight. MFH Environmental has the capabilities and experience to remove and dispose of any caulking material containing PCBs.
There's a lot of mercury in our everyday world. Though mercury-containing devices are gradually being replaced by non-mercury alternatives, there is still older equipment in schools, hospitals, businesses and homes that have outlived their usefulness and need to be replaced or retired.
MFH has extensive demolition experience primarily in Housing Demolition. However we have performed high rise buildings and large multi-family complexes as well.
A new division of MFH is now available to our clientele. Major and minor renovations are now done in-house. Everything from plumbing, electrical, flooring, finishes, stud work, roofing and concrete work can be performed by our quality craftsmen.
