Founded in 1969 by Joseph Hack, the company has grown steadily, expanding its services and equipment to meet the evolving needs of the community. Joseph, a pioneer in the use of Bobcat loaders, brought his passion for innovation and quality to the excavating industry.

Meet the Hack Family
John Hack
John Hack, Joseph's son, joined the family business in 1974 after graduating from Purdue University with a degree in Business Management and serving in the U.S. Army. He is the president of the company and oversees the office, while also actively participating in project sites.
John Hack II
John Hack II, following in his father's and grandfather's footsteps, developed a passion for excavating at a young age. He graduated from Purdue University with a degree in Civil Engineering in 1991 and joined the company full-time. John is a partner in the company and shares responsibilities in both the office and field. He is a past president of the Indiana Land Improvement Contractors Association and serves on the board of directors. He has also served as president of the Indiana Onsite Wastewater Professionals Association and currently serves on their board of directors.
Jennie Hack
Jennie Hack, John's wife, is a partner in the company and has managed the office since the early days, including while raising their five children.
Stacey Hack
Stacey Hack, John II's wife, is a Purdue University graduate with a degree in Civil Engineering and holds a professional engineering license. She works part-time in the office and serves as payroll accountant. John and Stacey have seven children.
