““As a former aluminum cast plate facility, the Pechiney site was highly contaminated with a vast array of waste streams and complex underground structures including concrete utility tunnels and structures sometimes exceeding forty feet in depth. Under the scrutiny of multiple local, State and Federal agencies, including EPA, DTSC and RWQCB, AIS has been able to consistently meet and exceed project objectives considering the complex underground structures and contaminant challenges while at all times maintaining the highest standards in health and safety.””
““AIS designed and implemented an innovative approach for closure of the Tidal Area Site 1 Landfill which provided no wetland encroachment, avoided UXO/MEC and minimized traffic disruption in the surrounding neighborhoods and no disruption to base activities. Despite the challenges that AIS faced which included condensing the field work schedule to accommodate the base mission closures and inclement weather, this important project was successfully completed two weeks ahead of the condensed schedule with no accidents or safety violations.””
