Setting the standard of quality for three generations Sixty years ago, John Baratta Sr. formed De-Bar Contracting Company, Inc. John Baratta Sr. philosophy was based on safety, productivity and efficiency. This approach proved successful as our company worked on projects for New York City utility companies such as Con Edison, Brooklyn Union Gas, and the New York City Fire Department. Louis Baratta Sr. and John Baratta Jr. expanded the company, working on major sewer projects for New York City. Upon John Sr.’s passing, his sons Louis and John Jr. regulated and further expanded the business. In 1993, the company became Verizon’s Master Contractor for Staten Island. To date, we currently service Verizon, AT&T and the DEP.
