About Shoreline Contractors Shoreline Contractors was incorporated in 1977 under its original name, SeaSearch. The company began as a search/salvage and diving company. By 1979, SeaSearch had begun an evolution into the marine construction industry. As the company grew in size and experience, the owners determined a new name should be chosen to reflect this growth. Thus, in 1986, SeaSearch, Inc. became Shoreline Contractors, Inc.  From 1977 to 2021, Tom and Kathy Murowsky made Shoreline one of the most recognizable marine construction companies on the North Coast of America. In 2022, Scott Mitchell took over as President after spending over 30 years learning everything he could from Tom.  As a result, the Shoreline Contractors legacy continues to thrive under the same ideals and philosophies that have been in place since 1977. Our Service Area Our area of service extends from the Ashtabula area to the Port Clinton and Islands area, mainly along the shoreline, including rivers and harbors therein. Shoreline Office Team Scott Mitchell President Scott has been an integral part of the Shoreline team for over 30 years. Scott manages our day-to-day field operations and construction projects and is a trusted industry expert in all areas of erosion control and marine construction. Scott has the unwavering ability to creatively solve complex shoreline erosion issues in an efficient, result-oriented and cost-effective way, and his construction mastery is endorsed by numerous satisfied clients and coastal engineers.  Scott resides in Avon, Ohio, with his wife. Justin Bingham Project Manager/Estimator Justin has been a Shoreline team member for over 6 years, starting out as a welder, quickly becoming our primary fabricator, and now serving in the role of Project Manager/Estimator. Justin is a certified welder and is a master of his craft. He graduated top of his class from Lorain County Joint Vocational School, and also holds a degree in Construction Project Management. Justin is highly skilled in end-to-end construction project management, from the initial site visit through to project completion. Justin resides in Sheffield Lake, Ohio, with his wife and daughter. Angela Mitchell Chief Administrative Officer Angela brings over 30 years of experience in strategic planning, marketing, and project and product management to her integral role of CAO of Shoreline. Angela has been recognized for her professional excellence, receiving the Cleveland YWCA Women of Professional Excellence award in 2019, and participating in the YWCA Advisory Board and Leadership Momentum Program. Angela holds a bachelor’s degree in business administration from Cleveland State University. She currently resides in Avon, Ohio, with her husband. Alyssa Pilz Office Manager Alyssa joined the Shoreline team in 2021 and manages the day-to-day operations of our administrative office and team members, including our accounting and human resources operations. Alyssa attended Ohio University and brings over 10 years of managerial and human resources experience to Shoreline, previously serving as Director of Human Resources for a non-profit in Cleveland, Ohio. Alyssa resides in North Ridgeville, Ohio, with her husband and daughter. Laura Lazor Assistant Office Manager Laura joined the Shoreline team in 2022. Laura attended Kent State University and brings extensive experience in commercial/industrial business development and customer service to her role. Laura provides administrative support to the field staff and specializes in customer relations. She resides in Elyria, Ohio with her husband and children.
