One Team. One Vision. At 16 years old, Mark Haynes purchased his first bulldozer from a Terex dealership in Cleveland. He got his start working for local farmers and digging neighborhood ponds – the rest is history. It’s now 40+ years later and we’ve grown to 70+ full-time employees, 200+ pieces of specialized earthmoving equipment, and an unprecedented number of projects completed. Over the last three and a half decades, we’ve become one of Ohio’s predominant stream restoration and stream enhancement contractors. About Batson-Cook Construction Batson-Cook Company is a Georgia-based firm that has been in business for more than a century under the same name. The company was founded in 1915 by Mr. W. C. Batson and Mr. Edmund F. Cook in West Point, Georgia, where it began operations in textile and mill village construction. Batson-Cook continued to expand operations over the next few decades and became recognized as one of the premier construction organizations in the southeastern United States. In 1957, the company opened its first regional office in Jacksonville, Florida, followed in 1959 by another in Atlanta, Georgia. A third construction office was established in West Point, Georgia, in 1977. Mr. Edmund C. Glover, third generation of the founding families, became president in 1982 and chairman and CEO in 1994.
