Our services included emergency response and hazardous waste treatment removal, and transportation and disposal (T&D) services. In its early years, ECC provided environmental services, including emergency response and hazardous waste treatment removal, and transportation and disposal services. 1987 ECC increases capabilities and experience with the award and successful completion of a large subcontract to handle hazardous waste transportation logistics on a US Environmental Protection Agency (USEPA) Superfund Site on the Hoopa Indian Reservation, providing ECC vital experience on a US Army Corps of Engineers (USACE) project. 1989 ECC becomes an approved USEPA response manager and a member of the US Small Business Administration’s (SBA) 8(a) and Small Disadvantaged Business (SDB) programs, facilitating continued opportunities and growth. Shortly thereafter, ECC lands its first Federal contract with the United States Geological Survey in support of the cleanup of the former Anaconda Copper Smelter Superfund Site in Montana. 1990 ECC expands its services to include construction and remediation services, and begins to work on a variety of projects for the Department of Defense (DoD), including the cleanup of munitions and explosives of concern (MEC) at military installations. 1991 ECC is awarded its first major contract with the USACE for the cleanup of the former Naval Air Station in Alameda, California. This project was a major milestone for ECC, as it demonstrated the company’s ability to handle large, complex projects. 1992 ECC expands its operations to include international projects, and begins to work on projects in the Middle East, Asia, and Africa. 1993 ECC is awarded its first major contract with the USACE for the cleanup of the former Naval Air Station in Alameda, California.
